Common questions
- I do not have a folding iPhone. Can I play?
- Yes, and nothing is missing. Open the menu and turn on Fold with an on-screen control — it appears automatically on iPhones that do not fold. Every one of the sixty puzzles is solvable with it.
- I do not want to bend my phone. Can I still finish the game?
- Yes. The on-screen control does the same job as the hinge, and the game never asks you to close the device at any point.
- How much folding does the whole game involve?
- About two hundred partial folds across all sixty levels, none of which require the device to close, spread over several hours of play. There is no timer and nothing rewards folding faster or more often.
- The fold feels too large a movement.
- Turn on Gentle in the menu. It keeps all eight positions but narrows the travel from eighty degrees to fifty, so a smaller bend reaches every one of them.
- I am stuck on a level.
- Every level has a free hint in the menu, always available, with no currency and no advert. It points at the first idea rather than giving the answer. You can also restart the level or undo a move from the same menu.
- Nothing happens when I bend the phone.
- Check the eight dots along the right edge: if the filled dot does not move as you fold, the game is not receiving hinge events. Turn on the on-screen control in the menu and email us — please mention your iOS version.
- Can I replay a level I have finished?
- Yes. Tap the level number in the top-left corner for the list, and choose any level you have reached.
- Will my progress sync to my other devices?
- No. Crease has no accounts and no server, so progress is stored on the device only. Deleting the app deletes your progress.
- Is there any way to spend more money in Crease?
- No. There are no in-app purchases, no adverts, no currency and no level packs. The $2.99 is the whole product.
- Accessibility
- Crease supports VoiceOver on the whole board, works fully in greyscale (nothing is distinguished by colour alone), respects Reduce Motion, and can be played entirely without folding. If something is not working for you, please tell us — we will fix it.
Requirements
iOS 26 or later. The hinge is used on iPhone Duo; every other iPhone uses the on-screen control or tilt. Crease works offline and never connects to a network.
